Much of InDepth Environmental Associates’ practice over the past few years has involved the evaluation and management of contaminated sediments. InDepth’s principal Mel Skaggs is currently serving on EPA’s NACEPT Superfund Subcommittee, which is charged with advising the EPA Administrator on the role of Superfund at so-called “mega sites”. The universe of “mega sites” is heavily populated with sediments sites. This portion of the InDepth website is being maintained because of the special interest that InDepth has developed in these contaminated sediment issues.
